Nitrification Units

Nitrogen exists in many forms in the environment and can enter aquatic systems from human- generated sources. Nitrification/Denitrification is the process of converting nitrogen into a form in which it can ultimately be removed whereby nitrate nitrogen is converted into nitrogen gas that vents to the atmosphere naturally.

Where existing treatment works fail to meet with ammonia discharge requirements EnSo can provide packaged Submerged Aerated Filters (SAFs) which offer the advantages of: a simple and reliable process; a high degree of performance reliability; durability of process elements and relatively low power requirements.

Before making recommendations for additional process capacity are made, EnSo would offer to undertake a review of the existing site assets to ensure that plant and equipment is operating at optimal performance levels.
